With spring, hopefully, around the corner in New York City I figured it was time get a more weather appropriate coat.

I’ve always found something very appealing about a classic trench coat. Coupled with a nice suit and bag, a good coat can really pull everything together. So I began a search for one this afternoon.

Within about an hour I settled on this from Banana Republic:

There’s a Banana Republic 50 feet away from my office so I stopped in to see if it fit. I like the classic styling, but non-traditional charcoal grey color. When I tried it on and saw that it was only $90 in store, I picked it up immediately.
